SWBR has helped companies rebrand for many reasons. Some simply need to refresh their image. Others undertake rebranding initiatives to signify a merger or name change. Businesses lucky enough to experience longevity, do it to modernize their brand for the present and future.

After more than 50 years in business as a marketing and advertising agency, SWBR has seen it all. By helping countless companies put their best foot forward, we’ve learned a few things.

We’ve learned that a business’s logo or brand mark, colors and messaging matter little if they’re not backed by smart, hard-working people. We’ve worked with many talented individuals that have hired us, and we’ve been blessed by the long list of talented people that have helped SWBR evolve and prosper for more than five decades.

In 2023, SWBR is proud to introduce its own brand refresh as SWBR Marketing & Media.

This rebranding is about more than modernizing our brand with a fresh new logo. It signals our focus and commitment to digital marketing services as the backbone of our agency. As we’ve always successfully adapted to meet the evolving communication demands of today, we’ll continue to provide clients with the support they need in this around-the-clock connected world we live in.

This brand refresh is also about a new chapter. It’s about a new location. It’s about bold, new leadership. And it’s about our talented staff and a renewed commitment to challenge the norms –  and challenge ourselves – to do the best work possible to help our clients stand tall.

Here’s a snapshot of everything that’s behind our new name and snazzy new logo:

NEW NAME: SWBR, Inc. is now newly minted as SWBR Marketing & Media. We’re an advertising agency at our core, but this revised name speaks to how advertising has become a broad mix of marketing, public relations, social media and digital advertising.

NEW LEADERSHIP: Ernie Thomas Stiegler was recently named President of SWBR Marketing & Media. He’s a third-generation family member to lead the agency. Ernie Thomas (or ET) has worked hard to learn the business over the last eight years, strategizing with clients and helping shape our digital transformation. ET takes over day-to-day operations from his father, Ernie R. Stiegler, who remains Chairman and CEO. Ernie G. Stiegler, father/grandfather, founded the company on May 1, 1969 as Ernie Stiegler Advertising, Inc., so ET is a fitting choice to carry the torch forward.

NEW LOCATION: SWBR Marketing & Media has a new headquarters at 516 Main Street in downtown Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. After starting in Allentown and shifting to offices in Bethlehem for many years, the move to historic Bethlehem is made to reconnect with the greater Lehigh Valley Region we’ve been a part of for decades.

NEW LOGO: Our logo design is about standing out and building excitement. Use of the creative, scripted font style is daring to be different when so many modern brands seem to be boxy and use straightforward fonts. Digging deeper, the font choice represents the threads that tie the Stiegler family to this great brand, as well as representing our deep roots woven into the Lehigh Valley. What about the orange? Why orange? Well, aside from the obvious reason that it pops, orange also symbolizes optimism and positive energy.

NEW WEBSITE: We’ve got a slick new redesigned website, too. The website you’re on right now while reading this. As a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week window to the world, a brand’s website is often one of the first touchpoints customers have with a brand. Our home page has an uptempo video right out of the gate. This is intended to create energy and interact with our customers and prospects right away by posing a question to begin a conversation. Our refreshed site also highlights our six featured capabilities (Strategic, Creative, Digital, Social Media, Media and Public Relations) and our broad range of services under each capability.

NEW VISION: We’re ready for tomorrow and eager to continue building next level marketing campaigns for our clients. We hope you’ll continue to put your trust in our team and look forward to working with you on our paths forward.

Advertising is in Ernie’s DNA as he’s a third-generation family member to join the business his late grandfather founded. With that pedigree comes an almost six sense of identifying the “it factor” needed to create campaigns that spark customers to action. Ernie (or ET) uses his outgoing personality to connect with clients to build strong collaborative relationships. He digs deep to uncover new opportunities that will make a measurable difference for each client’s business. A graduate of Eastern University and Saint Joseph’s University (MBA), he has the book smarts and experience to elevate brand communications with strategies that challenge the status quo. He’s always guiding Team SWBR toward the correct target audiences, smartest campaign messages, right digital channels and best traditional tactics suited to boost sales.

When he’s not working, Ernie enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He’s also an avid golfer still searching for his first hole-in-one.
